EFR Report: The European Financial Services Landscape in 2015
Following six years of pressure on growth, investment and employment, there are growing signs of recovery across Europe. Progress has been made due to combined public and private sector action. More needs to be done to address indebtedness, unemployment - especially among young people - and the overall competitiveness of Europe.
The European Financial Services Round Table (EFR), comprised of Chairmen and Chief Executive Officers of international banks and insurers with headquarters in Europe, is committed to Europe and wants to contribute to the important debates about the key issues facing Europe and the choices faced by leading policy-makers.
Our new report: 'The European Financial Services Landscape in 2015' summarises the main issues impacting the financial sector and key recommendations for how financial firms can help boost long-term growth, employment and competitiveness.
The financial sector is at the centre of Europe's economy, serving as the infrastructure that keeps national economies moving. It is undergoing massive operational and cultural changes. It is innovating, rebuilding trust in the financial system and working hard to meet the needs of consumers - also in an age that is becoming increasingly digital and interconnected.
In these still challenging times, it is important for the public and private sector to continue to work together to realise our joint ambition to restore Europe to a sound economic footing.
